Garlic is regarded as one of the most effective remedies to lower blood pressure. It is said to reduce spasms of the small arteries. It is advisable to take garlic in raw cloves form or two to three capsules a day.

Lemon juice is an effective solution for controlling Blood Pressure. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin P which is found both in the juice and peel of the fruit. This vitamin is essential for preventing capillary fragility.

Potatoes, specially in boiled form has been proven beneficial in comtroling and lowering blood pressure. When boiled with their skin, they absorb very little salt. Thus they can form a useful addition to a salt-free diet recommended for patients with high blood pressure. Potatoes are not only rich in potassium but not in sodium salts. The magnesium present in the potassium but not in sodium salts. The magnesium present in the vegetable exercises beneficial effects in lowering blood pressure.

Exercise plays an important role in curing hypertension. Walking is an excellent form of exercise.

Parsley keeps the arterial system in a healthy condition and thus helps in treating blood pressure. Take parsley as a beverage by simmering 20 gm of fresh parsley leaves gently in 250 ml of water for a few minutes. This may be drunk several times daily.

Watermelon is another valuable safeguard against high blood pressure. It was proved in recent
experiments that a substance extracted from watermelon seeds has a definite action in dilating
the blood vessels, which results in lowering the blood pressure.

Herbal Homemade Remedies for Low Blood Pressure

Beetroot juice is most effective home remedies for low blood pressure. The patient should drink a cup of this juice twice daily for curing this condition. Considerable improvement will be noticeable within a week.

Intake of salty foods and half a teaspoon of salt in water daily may be valuable in low blood pressure.

Hot Epsom salts baths are one of the simplest remedies for low blood pressure. An Epsom slats bath is prepared by dissolving one to one and a half-kg of commercial Epsom salts in an ordinary bath of hot water. The patient should remain immersed in the bath for ten to twenty minutes. This bath should be taken just before retiring to bed, and care should be exercised not to catch a chill afterwards.

Blood Pressure Treatment Measures

A natural diet consisting of fresh fruits and vegetables instead of a traditional diet helps to get rid of the toxins from the body. Salt should be avoided; in any case, it should not exceed more than three grams or about half a teaspoon per day. Yogic asanas such as surya namaskar, makrasana,matsyasana, vajrasana,
ardhapadmasana, pavan-muktasana, shavasana and simple pranayama like anuloma-viloma
and abdominal breathing are beneficial. Persons suffering from hypertension must get atleast eight hours of good sleep, because proper rest is a vital aspect of the treatment.
